Status/Hours: Part-time (non-exempt)
Provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment and collection of accounts under his or her control.


  • Maintain up-to-date billing system.
  • Follow-up, collection and allocation of payments.
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
  • Prepare bank deposits for Assistant Controller’s review.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries.
  • Process adjustments according to established procedures (including credit card declines, NSF checks).
  • Organize a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
  • Open and distribute daily mail to appropriate department.
  • Any other duties that maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Reports to: Director of Adult Services/Cultural Arts
Status/Hours: Full-time (non-exempt)


  • Create classes for varying age groups to include classes required as part of the grant guidelines from Aging Disability Resource Center (ADRC) / Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA).
  • Manage class calendar and schedule class facilitators. This includes making room reservations, room set ups and maintaining accuracy of online information.
  • Review classes each quarter to assess viability and relevance.  This includes attending classes periodically, scheduling regular meetings with facilitators and surveying participants.
  • Create and utilize systems for handling reservations for programs and registrations for classes.
  • Solicit participants to attend classes and programs; procure contact information and input payments and contact via CCC and contact information via MailChimp and/or DPJCC listings.
  • Utilize CCC for registrations, payments on program and classes and to manage program reports.
  • Utilize monthly reports to prepare payroll for program and class facilitators.
  • Meet with marketing to create program flyers, online information and other marketing materials for classes and programs.
  • Update information as requested by marketing for the program guide on all classes and programs.
  • Monitor flyers and online information about adult programs and classes to ensure they are current and distribution is timely.  This includes reviewing what is displayed in the flyer stands around the DPJCC, information posted on TV monitors throughout the DPJCC, and online information posted by DPJCC.
  • Support cultural arts programs and events as needed.  This includes promoting programs/events, ticket sales, set up, and day of event staffing.


  • Management of senior lunch room. 
    This includes:
    - Staffing and training volunteers to serve lunch daily as prescribed by ADRC/DOEA
      grant guidelines.
    - Setting up lunch service by noon daily – to include utensils, condiments and any needed supplies.
    - Monitoring that food delivered matches monthly menu provided by caterer.
    - Monitoring that food portion sizes are as described on menu, and temperatures are taken and recorded. 
      Temperatures must meet RDA guidelines as outlined in DOEA manual.
  • Maintain non-duplicate participant list.
    This includes:
    - Reviewing daily roster and making corrections utilizing CIRTS.
    - Doing additions and deletions in a timely manner to reflect current participants.
    - Creating and maintaining a separate list for distribution of hurricane packages and any
      other packaged meal distribution that may occur during the year.
  • Utilizing and maintaining assessment system outlined by ADRC/DOEA grant guidelines. 
    This includes:
    - Utilizing correct form as prescribed by ADRC/DOEA grant guidelines and completing them as directed    
      by grant guidelines.
    - Inputting assessments onto CIRTS in a timely manner to maintain daily roster and monthly reports.
    - Maintaining folders with assessments — to include monthly review to ensure all assessments are
      current, updated on anniversary dates, and each participant has all necessary documentation as   
      required by ADRC/DOEA grant guidelines.
  • Inputting monthly meal counts onto CIRTS to complete monthly reports.
    This includes:
    - Managing weekly rosters to insure number of meals is properly recorded.
    - Reviewing caterer monthly billing for accuracy.
    - Communicating with accounting department with completed reports for them to complete
      accurate payment of caterer billing.
    - Maintaining electronic folder of monthly reports.
  • Assisting Cultural Arts/Adult Programs Director with monitoring of the program. 
    This includes:
     - Providing information for monthly reporting in a timely manner.
     - Providing information for quarterly reporting in a timely manner.
     - Preparing for quarterly and annual monitoring site visits.
     - Organizing materials for annual monitoring.
     - Maintaining ADRC notebook.
  • Creating advisory board of lunch room participants.
    - Planning two meetings per year to review caterer, program and facilities.
    - Recording minutes from these meetings.
  • Communicating with caterer about the lunch program. 
    This includes:
    - Filling out daily assessment form and delivering to caterer, making sure it includes correct meal count for
      meal preparation and daily rating of the food items.
    - Reviewing monthly menus that are prepared by nutritionist and coordinating with caterer to ensure   
      menu items are within RDA guidelines as outlined in the DOEA manual.
    - Printing out, displaying and distributing monthly menus in timely manner.
    - Making sure special orders (i.e., monthly birthday cakes, holiday celebrations) are arranged in a timely
    - Making sure that hurricane packages – to include 3 meals for 3 days, plus snack and drinks – are
      ordered and distributed by June 30 each year.
  • Communicating with maintenance staff. 
    This includes:
    - Setting up and maintaining the tables and chairs.
    - Maintaining the cleanliness of room, utensils, serving tables, refrigerator and coffee service.
    - Monitoring supplies.
  • Planning entertainment/speakers two times per month. 
    This includes:
    - Creating contact list of potential entertainment/speakers.
    - Managing room reservations and setting up of program.
    - Creating calendar of events.
    - Creating marketing materials for events.
    - Surveying participants two times per year for ideas and feedback.
  • Planning holiday celebrations and weekly Shabbat. 
    This includes:
    - Managing room reservations and setting up of program.
    - Creating calendar of events.
    - Creating marketing materials for event.
    - Staying within budget guidelines for supplies.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.


The after-school senior counselor works directly with an assigned group of children as the group's leader. Applicants should be a high school graduate and should have prior experience working with children.

The Sports & Wellness Department is currently looking for a late afternoon and evening floor attendant(s) to join their team.  Various responsibilities include supervising fitness room, track, boxing room and yoga room, greet and assist all members in a friendly manner, spot/assist powerlifters in weight room, maintain cleanliness of exercise machines, equipment and fitness area, rack weights and perform other duties as assigned.  Ability to lift 110+ lbs. required.

  • 16+ years old.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
  • Must perform Lifeguard prerequisites (300 meter swim, 2 minute treading water, timed event of diving 7-10 feet and retrieving 10lb weight).
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of everyone in swimming facilities.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

Water Safety Instructor

  • 16+ years of age.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification

Job Description:
The senior accountant reports to the chief financial officer and assists with the  monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis and balance sheet and income statement presentation.

 Specific Job Responsibilities:
Ÿ Assists with monthly general ledger month-end close, presentation of the balance sheet, income statement results and analysis to the chief financial officer

Ÿ Responsibility for the preparation of general ledger entries and reconciliations for month-end closing to close books in a timely manner

Ÿ Preparation of a monthly account analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Ÿ Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls

Ÿ  Other projects as assigned


Ÿ Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting

Ÿ Strong understanding of accounting theory

Ÿ Intermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal

controls, including accounts receivable, and accounts payable
