The Sports and Wellness Director serves as a member of the JCC professional staff with responsibilities, which at times, extend beyond the limits of his/her specialized functions. The Sports and Wellness Director works within the framework of the total agency program and objectives to which the program is related. Specific attention is given to programming heath, physical education, aquatics, wellness, fitness, sports and the recreational needs of the total membership.

 Young Adults Program Coordinator (Part-time, approx. 5 hrs/wk):

 Reports to Adult/Cultural Arts Director


 Provide staff assistance and guidance to the leadership of the DPJCC Young Adult Program

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of programs of interest to young adults
  2. Maintain appropriate records and prepare budgets and reconciliations for programs
  3. Work with Marketing Department in  the creation of marketing materials
  4. Meet as needed with supervisor

 Preferred Skills:

  1. Good communication and people skills, both written and verbal
  2. Creative thinker
  3. Experience with event planning

Job Description:
The senior accountant reports to the chief financial officer and assists with the  monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis and balance sheet and income statement presentation.

 Specific Job Responsibilities:
Ÿ Assists with monthly general ledger month-end close, presentation of the balance sheet, income statement results and analysis to the chief financial officer

Ÿ Responsibility for the preparation of general ledger entries and reconciliations for month-end closing to close books in a timely manner

Ÿ Preparation of a monthly account analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Ÿ Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls

Ÿ  Other projects as assigned


Ÿ Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting

Ÿ Strong understanding of accounting theory

Ÿ Intermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal

controls, including accounts receivable, and accounts payable

Ÿ Good knowledge of US GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting


Ÿ  Strong analytical skills

Ÿ  Auditing skills with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts

Ÿ  1-4 years high volume accounting experience

Ÿ Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills with a customer

service focus

Ÿ Microsoft Excel experience a must

Ÿ Detail oriented and organized

Ÿ Ability to meet assigned deadlines

Ÿ Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees,

management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity

problem solving, and results.

Ÿ Be proactive, independent, flexible and enthusiastic


Ÿ  Experience with grants and the intricacies therein

Ÿ Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and other Microsoft Office applications a plus
