Membership

The David Posnack Jewish Community Center is located in the heart of southwest Broward County.  Here at the "J", we are dedicated to making a difference in peoples' lives on a daily basis.  From infant to senior, year round, the "J" is a place that offers endless possibilities for you and your family to grow.  You can choose from a wide variety of programs, services and amenities that will enhance your sense of community, culture, education, enrichment, fitness and more.

If you're looking for sports and recreational activities, you can enjoy any of our amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, aquatics, basketball, tennis, racquetball/handball, dance, yoga, indoor running/walking track, martial arts, batting cages, personal and group training and so much more.  If you're looking for cultural arts and education, attend any of our annual special events such as our Jewish Music Festival, Book Festival and Film Festival.  And if you have little ones, our Susan and Saul Singer Early Childhood Learning Center is a Gold Seal Award recipient for the highest quality in childcare programs.  You can feel confident that your child will thrive and learn in a safe and loving environment.  We welcome people of all ages, faiths and cultures to join our center.

At initial enrollment there is an additional non-refundable registration fee for all categories. 
This is a one-time fee with continuance of membership.

*Fees are subject to change in 2015.
**13 and 14-year-old members are required to take the free FitTeen class in order to
utilize the fitness center.  Children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the fitness center.

FREE group exercise classes (excluding Hot Yoga and Inferno®).

FREE babysitting (Ages 5 and under) & JKidz Care (Ages 6-12).

Access to "members only" programs including preschool, after school care, summer camp and vacation mini-camps.

Priority in registering for classes and programs open to non-members and discounts on most classes and programs.

Reduced prices on room rentals including the Orlove Auditorium and Brickman Theatre.

Guest privileges at more than 350 JCC facilities worldwide through the JCC network.

Discounts and special offers from local businesses through our JRewards program.

How does a FREE ONE-YEAR MEMBERSHIP sound to you?
Refer 6 people, earn 6 months.
Refer 12 people, earn a year.

 

Guest Policy:

Guests are welcome to attend our educational, social and cultural arts events, which are open to the community.  (Program fees may apply).

JCC members are invited to bring guests, without limit to the number of guests per year.  A guest fee of $12 per day is charged and must be paid at the time of the visit.

Government Employees/Jewish Communal Agencies' Employees:

Special rates are available for full-time school teachers, law enforcement, city, county and federal employees of the tri-county area.  Full-time employees of Jewish communal agencies are also eligible for discounted memberships.  Some restrictions may apply.

Snowbird Memberships:

For out-of-state residents residing locally between November and April, a temporary membership may be purchased.  Fees vary according to category.

Active Military:

The DPJCC is proud to offer all active military personnel, their spouses and dependent children a gratis JCC membership throughout their active military status.

Corporate Memberships:

Would you like discounted memberships for your employees?  Call us for a program customized for your company.

E-News & E-Blasts:

We send out a weekly E-Newsletter with holiday hours, upcoming programs, events, new classes and other offers you may be interested in. 

From time to time we also send out E-blasts on special programs, new or revised JCC policies, and even storm or hurricane information, relevant to the JCC.  What we need from you is your email address.  We do not sell or lend our lists to anyone, and we promise not to bombard you with a lot of email.  If you are not receiving our weekly E-Newsletters, we probably do not have your current email address.  Please send it to us at info@dpjcc.org and include your full name in the body of the email.

Payment of Dues:

JCC Members shall have the choice of paying membership dues in full and receiving a discount (5%) or paying the annual membership over 12 months via debit or credit card.  Dues are not refundable or transferable. 

Members will be notified and contacted upon their annual renewal date and given the option to renew their memberships.  Members enrolled in a program (or with children enrolled in a program), whose memberships come up for renewal while the program is still in session, will automatically have their memberships renewed. 

The JCC serves all residents of the community regardless of faith, age or disability.

Financial Assistance:

All scholarship requests shall be handled on an individual basis with complete confidentiality.  Arrangements for payment plans or fee adjustments for membership dues shall be made by the Membership Director.  Guidelines shall be reviewed annually and be subject to change.
