The Inquisition banished Jews from Spain and Portugal in the 15th century and eventually made their way to the Caribbean from both Sephardic and Ashkenazic locales and there is an active Jewish community on many of the islands today.

Wednesdays: Oct. 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11, 18, Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29 from 12:15-1:15 p.m.

"Our Beliefs" a Pillars of Judaism Class with Dr. Sandra Lilienthal
We will discuss: What do Jews believe in? Who/What is God? What happened at Mount Sinai? Will there be a Messianic Era? What is is and what would that look like? Why are we connected to the Land of Israel? Do miracles exist? Do we believe in Satan? What happens after we die? All this and more.

Tuesdays: Oct. 29, Nov. 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec. 3, 10,17, Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28 from 12:15-1:45 p.m.

Global Day - November 17

The Global Day of Jewish Learning was conceived to mark the completion of Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz’s monumental translation of the Talmud in 2010.  Worldwide participation has grown each year, so that this year more than 500 communities in more than 40 countries will participate!  

On Sunday, November 17 the Global Day of Jewish Learning will explore “Speaking Volumes”. From ancient arguments to modern meanings, from raising our voices to remaining silent, explore how and why words matter.
