A Balanchine/Gershwin Company Premiere of "Who Cares?"
Wednesday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Led by Maestro Gary Sheldon, the Opus One Orchestra , which provides the live music for the Miami City Ballet, will perform selections from Miami City Ballet’s "Who Cares?"  In 1970 George Balanchine created a classical ballet to songs by his friend and colleague George Gershwin. The result is an upbeat, zippy work with astounding ballet solos and duets to the memorable songs of Gershwin.  Repertoire includes: ‘S Wonderful, Embraceable You, Fascinatin’ Rhythm, Strike Up the Band, I Got Rhythm and many more.
