In her hilarious and witty stand-up comedy show, Sigal Kahana says the things you always wanted to say but would not dare … she voices your thoughts about age, fantasies, today’s youth, the eighties, parents and other unmentionables. An actress who started her career in New York, Kahana wrote, produced and performed in the successful comedy show “Excuse – Ata Medaber Ivrit?” which was performed more than 250 times in Israeli communities throughout the United States and Canada.  Her new stand-up routine, which she performed all over Israel, opened to great reviews when it debuted at the Symphony Space theater in New York.

A web of family secrets begins to unravel in this gripping documentary that follows a family fractured by war.  Born inside a displaced persons camp in 1945 and sent for adoption in Israel, Izak learns at a late age the details of his birth mother, an unknown brother in Canada, and his father’s true identity.  This emotional and thought-provoking film about the plight of displaced people and war refugees reflects the intensity of their resilience and compassion.

The Memorial Day for Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror
Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Join us for a special ceremony in English and Hebrew to honor and remember those who have given their lives in the pursuit of freedom and well-being for all.  This is Israel’s official day of remembrance that was enacted into Israeli law in 1963. While traditionally dedicated to fallen soldiers, commemoration now is extended to civilian victims of political violence and terrorism.
