CAMP KADIMA SENIOR COUNSELOR

Reports to: Unit Head
Status/Hours: Part-time (non-exempt)

Senior Counselors must have the desire to work with children. Willingness and ability to take full responsibility for the health, safety and security of campers at all times on campus and field trips. Must be able to communicate with, relate to, and serve as an example to all campers. Will be responsible for planning and lead group activities during “open periods.” All Senior Counselors are required to swim with their campers daily. Senior Counselors must have completed first year of college or equivalent and will report directly to the Unit Head.

The David Posnack JCC Susan & Saul Singer Early Childhood Learning Center is expanding its infant/toddler section and is seeking f/t, year-round caregivers/assistant teachers to work with infants and very young toddlers. Interested parties should: have a CDA and the DCF required 45 hours; must be eligible for a Level 2 Background check; love caring for and nurturing very young children; be committed to the safety and well-being of infants in daycare; want to be a part of a team. SPORTS & WELLNESS FITNESS ATTENDANT(S)

REPORTS TO: YSAAC KAPLAN
STATUS:
 PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

The Sports & Wellness Department is currently looking for afternoon and evening floor attendant(s) to join their team.  Various responsibilities include supervising fitness room, track, boxing room and yoga room, greet and assist all members in a friendly manner, spot/assist powerlifters in weight room, maintain cleanliness of exercise machines, equipment and fitness area, rack weights and perform other duties as assigned.  Ability to lift 110+ lbs. required.

AQUATICS DEPARTMENT

The JCC Aquatics Department is currently seeking Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors to join our staff.  For questions about employment within the JCC Aquatics Department, please call Julie Sevilla at 954.434.0499, ext. 360 • jsevilla@dpjcc.org

Lifeguard

  • 16+ years old.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
  • Must perform Lifeguard prerequisites (300 meter swim, 2 minute treading water, timed event of diving 7-10 feet and retrieving 10lb weight).
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of everyone in swimming facilities.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

Water Safety Instructor

  • 16+ years of age.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification
  • Thorough knowledge and presentation of teaching swimming and water safety skills.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
