The Sports & Wellness Front Desk are the "face of the center" and provide members and guests with a pleasant and welcoming environment as they enter the DPJCC. This position is responsible for creating strong relationships between the DPJCC and its current and prospective members, along with providing superior customer service. The specific duties of the front desk staff are to provide general and program information to members and guests that meet their needs related to total health and growing involvement in the DPJCC, thereby increasing member enrollment, retention and satisfaction.

Assists with the development and implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns; maintains promotional materials inventory and databases; prepares reports, ensures consistency of company messages. Reports to marketing director, then public relations director in marketing director’s absence.

Marketing Coordinator Job Duties:

  • Assists in the implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns, strategies, plans, and objectives; plans and organizes promotional presentations; update calendars.
  • Maintains the accuracy of information on the website. Updates with new programs, classes, prices, campaigns, graphics, content, etc.   
  • Collaborates with the Social Media Marketing Associate with postings and content creation on various channels.
  • Collaborates with team members and other departments.
  • Responsible for video creation, editing and posting for various departments.
  • Creates clear, concise marketing collateral, flyers, brochures, posters, direct mail, etc. Ensures that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies.
  • Coordinates and produces email campaigns and manages email marketing account and email lists for the center.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
  • Keeps promotional materials up-to-date and ready for dissemination throughout the building and community.
  • Researches competitors, pricing, products/services and advertising.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reads trade publications.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Reports to: Sports and Wellness Associate
Status/Hours: Part-time (non-exempt); Monday – Thursday 8:00-11:45am, Tuesday, and Thursday 6:00-8:00pm. (or any combination of days).
Caring for and playing with members' children (ages 3 mos.-5 yrs.) while members use the facility.  Responsible for keeping the room clean and orderly, changing diapers and providing snacks, as needed,  among other responsibilities.  

Sitters will get a background and fingerprint check and have a child/infant CPR certification. Applicant must loves children, and be a hard worker who is willing work with children 3 months to 5 years. Applicants must submit to and pass a level two background check and be child/infant CPR/AED certified.

The Sports & Wellness Department is currently looking for a late afternoon and evening floor attendant(s) to join their team.  Various responsibilities include supervising fitness room, track, boxing room and yoga room, greet and assist all members in a friendly manner, spot/assist powerlifters in weight room, maintain cleanliness of exercise machines, equipment and fitness area, rack weights and perform other duties as assigned.  Ability to lift 110+ lbs. required.

The JCC Aquatics Department is currently seeking Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors to join our staff for summer camp 2017.  For questions about employment within the JCC Aquatics Department, please call Risa Spevack at 954.434.0499, ext. 120 • 


  • 16+ years old.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
  • Must perform Lifeguard prerequisites (300 meter swim, 2 minute treading water, timed event of diving 7-10 feet and retrieving 10lb weight).
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of everyone in swimming facilities.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

Water Safety Instructor

  • 16+ years of age.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification
  • Thorough knowledge and presentation of teaching swimming and water safety skills.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.


The camp counselor is responsible for assisting in implementing an inclusive and varied camp for children. They work with other camp counselors and are immediately responsible for the children's safety and participation. The counselor is committed to fulfilling all duties with ethical conduct, community stewardship, individual initiative, and responsive service. They must demonstrate leadership, management and technical skills through effective collaboration, using team resources, progressive decision making and personal responsibility while demonstrating and fostering effective communication with other camp counselors, administrative and office staff, parents, and kids.
