FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE

Reports to: Membership 
Status/Hours: Full-time (non-exempt)

The Sports & Wellness Front Desk is the "face of the center" and provide members and guests with a pleasant and welcoming environment as they enter the DPJCC. This position is responsible for creating strong relationships between the DPJCC and its current and prospective members, along with providing superior customer service. The specific duties of the front desk staff are to provide general and program information to members and guests that meet their needs related to total health and growing involvement in the DPJCC, thereby increasing member enrollment, retention and satisfaction.

MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATE

Reports to:  MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
Status:  FULL-TIME (EXEMPT)

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing tours, sales and follow-up on prospective new members. Explain DPJCC goals and services.
  • Follow-up with member complaints and issues.
  • Assist Membership director with statistical data monthly.
  • Oversee financial assistance process for membership. Keep track of dollars available and paperwork needed to process both new members and renewals. Inputting scholarship into CCC
  • Attend DPJCC staff meetings and supervisory sessions with directors.
  • Oversee SilverSneakers® and Silver&Fit memberships and programming.
  • Analyze membership data and current trends.
  • Work with finance department to ensure financial tracking of membership.
  • Respond to requests for information from members and other constituents.
  • Suggest new policies and updates to existing policies related to membership.
  • Coordinate, manage, track, and evaluate all membership and renewal activities.
  • Mail monthly renewal notices.
  • Responsible for all upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and bad debt in CCC.
  • Responsible for twice monthly draft closing out, putting on the NSF’S, contacting members over the phone for updated credit cards and sending out emails/final letters to those that have not responded.
  • Train in CCC to assist with data entry and inputting memberships sold and renewed.
  • Create membership types/codes in CCC
  • Responsible for implementing programs/internal events for monthly membership calendar, including Jewish Holiday calendar, S&W lobby table display, banners, Jrewards, etc. with assistance from Membership Director.
  • Maintain and grow banner program and Jrewards partners.
  • Assist with membership monthly retention by promoting DPJCC programs, communicating with members via email, phone calls and speaking with tem in the center.
  • Responsible to manage, schedule, train and cover for Front Desk Staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

 SCHEDULE:

Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 6:00pm
Sunday from 7:00am to 3:00pm
Plus events participation when needed.

INFANT & TODDLER CAREGIVER/TEACHER

Reports to: EARLY CHILDHOOD DIRECTOR
Status/Hours: FULL-TIME  (NON-EXEMPT)

Seeking f/t, year-round caregivers/assistant teachers to work with infants and very young toddlers.  Experience in a JCC, Jewish daycare/preschool setting is helpful.  CDA required with hours in infant/toddler development and care. DCF ‘45 hours’ required as a condition of employment.

FITNESS COORDINATOR

Reports to: Sports & Wellness Assistant Director/Fitness
Status/Hours: Full-time (exempt)

To supervise the fitness room, track, boxing rooms and studios and teach 14-16 classes per week and assist with the supervision of part-time floor workers. Must be organized and in tune to the community.

The David Posnack JCC After-School Adventure Program seeks motivated high school graduates with prior experience working with children to serve as a part-time senior counselor. SPORTS & WELLNESS FITNESS ATTENDANT(S)

REPORTS TO: YSAAC KAPLAN
STATUS:
 PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

The Sports & Wellness Department is currently looking for afternoon and evening floor attendant(s) to join their team.  Various responsibilities include supervising fitness room, track, boxing room and yoga room, greet and assist all members in a friendly manner, spot/assist powerlifters in weight room, maintain cleanliness of exercise machines, equipment and fitness area, rack weights and perform other duties as assigned.  Ability to lift 110+ lbs. required.

AQUATICS DEPARTMENT

Lifeguard

  • 16+ years old.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
  • Must perform Lifeguard prerequisites (300 meter swim, 2 minute treading water, timed event of diving 7-10 feet and retrieving 10lb weight).
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of everyone in swimming facilities.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

Water Safety Instructor

  • 16+ years of age.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification
  • Thorough knowledge and presentation of teaching swimming and water safety skills.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
