Do I need to be a member of the David Posnack JCC to participate?
No, this is a community-wide program and everyone who meets the requirements noted above is invited and encouraged to participate.
Are there fees involved?
Yes, there are expenses such as registration fees, uniform costs, tradable costs, etc. involved with this national program. Fees are differentiated between current DPJCC members and non-DPJCC members.
How do I become a member of the Fort Lauderdale JCC Maccabi Delegation?
Numerous tryouts will be held in starting in late fall 2022 through early winter 2023. Athletes must attend at least one tryout out to be properly evaluated. Multiple teams of varying skill levels will be formed.
Will there be practices once teams/individual sport groups are formed?
Yes, each coach will determine his/her own practice schedule and communicate with the team.
What happens if I attend summer camp or have other summer commitments?
We are well aware that many athletes will be attending summer camps or participating in other activities that require them to be away for most of the summer. That being said, we strongly encourage athletes to be back in town for the two weeks prior to the event.
Where do the athletes sleep?
Local athletes will stay in the own homes during the event and are required to host at least two (2) visiting athletes.
