Celebrate the dedication of Owen’s Place and Lanny’s Counter—created to support inclusion, skill-building and community connection.

You are invited - join us for a special afternoon with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind.

Ron will share his family’s inspiring journey of connection, resilience, and hope through storytelling, and how Disney films helped his son, Owen, navigate life with autism.

Following Ron’s talk, we will dedicate Owen’s Place—a new kitchen and training center made possible through the generosity of the Suskind Family. Created to foster skill-building, independence, and meaningful connection, Owen’s Place will serve individuals with developmental disabilities and promote community engagement.

At the heart of Owen’s Place is Lanny’s Counter, a gathering spot funded by the Gelfand Family in loving memory of Lanny Gelfand. A founding member of the David Posnack Jewish Community Center, Lanny embodied the values of generosity, inclusion, and warmth. His legacy will continue to nourish and inspire all who gather here.
