Class Descriptions

• Adventures in Sign Language (Inclusive)
  Grades 3+
  Dive into this all-inclusive an interactive class that introduces participants to the rich world of sign language, offering a complete understanding of this vibrant form of communication.
  

• Ballet Taught by Dance IQ  
  Ages 3 & Pre-K 
  The children will learn concepts on space (levels, pathways, general and personal space), body, relationships, energy, and rhythm, which are prerequisites to choreography. They will learn coordination, gross locomotor and non-locomotor movement, teamwork, cooperation, how to compromise, and how to communicate. This movement will translate into choreography. No prerequisite.

• Ballet/Tap Taught by Dance IQ
  Ages 3-Pre-K & K-5
  The beginning technique for ballet will include learning gross motor skills of galloping, skipping, grapevines and French ballet terms and techniques.  The students will learn how to use the dance floor as an open space and how spatial concepts of pathways are used to create choreography. The students will do barre work, center floor and choreography. Tap- The students will learn the basic tap terminology and technique of shuffles, flaps, irishes, buffaloes and so much more.  The students will do barre work, center floor and choreography.

• Beginner Cooking 
  Grades K-5
  Children can learn basic cooking skills! They will enjoy making culinary kid-friendly recipes. At the end of the  session, each child will bring home the recipes created in class.  Max. 10 per class. 
  

• Creative Constructors
  2s and 3s
  Is your two or three-year old a budding architect or one who loves blocks, Legos, magnatiles, etc? Then, this class is for them! We will offer both instructive and free building opportunities as your young children learn different 3D STEM properties and why projects sometimes collapse on their own and sometimes stay up until knocked or taken down.

• Fun & Healthy Foods
  Ages 2-Pre-K
  Learn basic cooking skills and have fun in the kitchen. Using kid-friendly recipes, young chefs create kosher treats in our AMAZING Siegel Pan to Plate Culinary Kitchen, a real, working kitchen. Most of the time nothing will come home-everything is so yummy, it’s eaten on the spot! Minimum/5 children. Maximum/10 children. 
  

• Intro to Ballet Taught by Dance IQ

• Intro to Musical Theater
  Grades Pre-K to 3
  The students will explore the triple threat world of singing, dancing and acting.  The students will learn songs and dances from many Disney musicals such as Peter Pan, Mary Poppins or The Little Mermaid and so much more!  The students will learn how to create a character and use body language to express that character.
  
• Hip Hop Kidz
  This nationally recognized and respected dance program teaches children, from ages 5 through teenage, the hottest hip hop moves to today's coolest music- from TikTok, music videos and their favorite TV shows, in a fun, high-energy style.  Taught by some of the best teachers in the country. 
  Hip Hop Kidz Beginners
  This nationally recognized and respected dance program teaches boys and girls the hottest hip hop moves to today's coolest music-from TikTok, music videos and their favorite TV shows-in a fun, high-energy style! For ages 5-10 years. Students have the opportunity to participate in a great end-of-the-year performance.
  Hip Hop Kidz Intermediate-Advanced Programs:
  Performance Troupe, Production Co and Dade Crew give kids/teen dancers the opportunity to participate in a dance crew, providing numerous performance opportunities both locally and nationwide.

  Our most elite and advanced crew, for dancers ages 13-19. These nationally recognized performers train in both Broward and Dade counties and regularly collaborate with top music artists and leaders in the entertainment industry. 
  
• Jazzy Art with Miss Tara
  Grades K-5
  Art classes are all about learning to enjoy, appreciate and create art while building fine motor skills. Students explore color, texture, shapes and different types of art. Children discover their inner Picasso talents through a variety of amazing masterpieces under the guidance of Miss Tara! Max. 10.  
• J-Cheer (Inclusive) 
  Grade 3+ and Pre-K
  Join our inclusive, co-ed cheerleading team! Learn cheers, chants, and prepare for friendly competitions in a supportive and fun environment!
• J-Hoops Basketball Academy
  JHoops at the J is a comprehensive basketball program offering classes to enhance skills, teamwork and sportsmanship for boys and girls. The young athletes gain knowledge of the game, learn fundamentals and drills, improve skills and learn game strategies. The program is coordinated by Jason Stura, who has more than 20 years of professional basketball experience and has conducted numerous clinics worldwide.
• Kickstart Soccer
  Taught by LIL STAR SPORTS
  These classes will help develop fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and trapping. In addition, general fitness and motor skills such as running, balancing and jumping are also emphasized. Classes are creatively designed to be engaging, active and most of all – FUN! For older classes, some game situations and small sided scrimmages are introduced so that children become comfortable playing in recreational and competitive leagues. 
• KidsFit Yoga and Obstacles
  Ages 5+
  Fun and fit is the name of the game! Each class consists of exciting obstacle courses, fun balancing games and playful yoga activities.  Students will improve mobility, increase confidence and destress during the “Om”azing class.  The class is packed with fun, fit games and activities that will be different each week. 
• Kinderbots
  Taught by Snapology | Age 3 & Pre-K
  Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands, or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is sure to have a great time.  Returning students will learn new concepts and content. Minimum/6 children, Maximum/16 children.
• Krav Maga
  This form of martial arts introduces children to practical self-defense techniques in a fun and safe environment, focusing on situational awareness and basic moves. Through engaging drills and age-appropriate scenarios, kids build confidence and discipline. The class emphasizes non-aggressive solutions and teaches children how to stay safe in various everyday situations.
• Little Labcoats Science
  This class is for children in 3s/PK who love experimenting. We will predict, experiment and draw all kinds of conclusions about: bubbles and other foamy things, different kinds of dough, electricity, prisms and rainbows, colors and how to change them in paint. This is a hands-on class. Every child will participate in the experiments and have the opportunity to explore both in the group and individually.
• Merry Music Makers
  Children will sing, dance, increase vocabulary and body rhythm. This class is designed to engage children who love music and movement. Instruments used include: guitar, rhythm sticks, piano and tambourine. Songs will be in English, Hebrew and Spanish.
• Robotics & LEGO Innovators
  Grades 2-5
  Unlock the world of imagination and innovation for your child with our exciting class, tailored especially for young, curious minds! Here's what we offer:
  Creative Robotics & LEGO Mastery: Watch your child's eyes light up as they craft robots and design captivating structures using the ever-popular LEGOs. It's more than play; it's the art of creation!
  Immersive Science Integration: Every week, paired up with a budding buddy, participants dive deep into the wonders of science, applying core concepts to tackle thrilling challenges. It's hands-on learning at its best!

• Sports Variety with Coach Tara
  Ages 3-Pre-K
  Introduce your young athlete to a taste of sports in classes that teach the basics of the sport and sportsmanship. The versatile Miss Tara has fun with your children while ensuring that they learn proper technique and form. Min 4 participants per class.

• Yoga
