Yom HaShoah Commemoration: A Powerful Story of Survival
Join us as we honor Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, with a profound and moving presentation by Alexander Bruner, nephew of Holocaust survivor József Debreczeni. Bruner will share the remarkable journey of publishing his uncle's memoir, Cold Crematorium—a harrowing firsthand account of survival in Auschwitz and the resilience of the human spirit. This is an opportunity to reflect, remember, and ensure that these stories are never forgotten. We invite you to stand with us in remembrance and learning.

Join us for a solemn Yom HaShoah Memorial Ceremony an eveninig of remembreance as we honor the victims of the holocuast and hear a power story of hope and transformation. Hear from the guest speaker Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, physician and author of A German Life, as he shares his powerful journey—from being the son of a Nazi officer to converting to Judaism and moving to Israel.

Presented in collaboration with the Mania & Max Nudel Holocaust Learning Center & the Jewish Federation.

Join us to pay your respects and honor Israel’s fallen soldiers. This moving exhibition, featuring personal stories and heartfelt tributes, will be on display at the Holocaust Learning Center at the DPJCC.
Exhibit begins April 27-30, 2025
Sunday - Monday 10:00 am- 5:00 pm

Memorial Ceremony 
Tuesday, April 29 at 6:00 pm at the Mania & Max Nudel Holocaust Learning Center at the DPJCC.
