Make a gift that’s smart for you, and powerful for the J.

There are many ways to give before year-end, and some may even reduce your tax burden.

  • IRA Charitable Rollover (QCD): If you’re 70½ or older, make a tax-free gift from your IRA.
  • Stock or Appreciated Assets: Avoid capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction for the full market value.
  • Donor-Advised Funds (DAF): Give through your DAF right on this page using DAFpay.
  • Legacy Giving: Include the J in your will or trust to ensure your impact lives on.
  • Bunching for Greater Tax Advantage: If you typically give annually, consider “bunching”. Combining multiple years of giving into one tax year to potentially increase your deduction and plan future gifts through your DAF.

Whether you wish to make your year-end gift today or plan a legacy for the future, our Philanthropy Office is here to help you find the giving option that best fits your goals. Please contact:

Giving for Tomorrow

Ensure your legacy lives on through the J. Legacy gifts provide lasting support for the programs and services that define who we are.

Bequests and Estate Gifts

Include the David Posnack JCC in your will or trust. You can designate a specific amount, a percentage, or the remainder of your estate.

Endowments

Create a permanent fund that provides annual income to sustain the J’s mission. The principal remains intact, ensuring your support continues for generations.

Life Insurance and Retirement Accounts

Name the J as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, IRA, or retirement plan to leave a lasting impact without affecting your lifetime income.

Charitable Gift Annuities and Trusts

Establish a gift that provides income for you or your loved ones during your lifetime and benefits the J in the future. It’s a meaningful way to give back while caring for your family.

Creative Ways to Give

  • Business Interests or Private Stock: Contribute shares of privately held companies or partnerships.
  • Real Estate or Personal Property: Donate a residence, real estate, or other assets of value.
  • Royalties and Intellectual Property: Assign royalties from books, music, or patents to provide ongoing support.

Your Gift Today Shapes Tomorrow

The J is where generations come together to play, learn, grow, and belong. Your generosity today ensures that tomorrow’s community remains strong and full of life.
